Default OK guys... here's a build to tweak!

Profession: Ranger / Elementalist

Name: Suicide Bomber

Type: PvE

Category: Trapper

Attributes BM max you can get
EXP balance of points
WS max you can get
Fire 10

Skills Set
Viper’s Pit
BarbedTrap
Flame Trap
Serpent’s Quickness/Energizing Wind
Double Dragon (Elite Fire)
Inferno (Fire)
Winnowing
Edge of Extinction

Summary: This is a two person trapping build that can be a one person build in a pinch. A Fire requirement staff with an extra energy boost doesn’t leave you completely defenseless, but you’ll be close to it no matter what you do.

In a two person team the puller acts like any other trapper/puller combo; aggroing as many melee critters as possible to hit the trap at the same time.

The Suicide Bomber is a little different… Winnowing and EoE are placed behind the trapper out of agro range, but close enough to do their thing. The bomber gets a good spot and begins laying traps: SQ/EW, Viper’s Pit, Spike Trap, and Flame Trap for (hopefully) 80 seconds or so when the puller has aggroed the mob and is running for their life back past the bomber.

As the mob nears the bomber, Double Dragon and Inferno are used quickly and will hit the mob as the traps spring; ( ****this is where your video card screams in pain****** ) scattering the mob with MASSIVE degen (Poison, Bleeding and on Fire). The bomber then has the option to run away or attack any survivors to try to get an EoE chain going and finish the mob.

Notes & Concerns: Any degen survivors or latecomers to the party will have to be run away from; there are no slots for healing and you’ll be in the middle of the mob if it doesn’t work. Aside from traps, your offence will be your Fire staff, and your puller. If the mobs are too strong to get the EoE chain going, running past the spirits will help break aggro and you should be able to get away to try again if you have the room. Casters can give this build fits and will have to be lured onto pre-set traps.

I've sucessfully used this to solo farm Wardens in Arborstone and Kirin in Pongmei Valley but it's a lot harder without a puller.

OK guys; rip it apart!

I would suggest some defenses, like troll ungent, dodge, etc.

I would drop Winnowing for a defense skill or Dust Trap.

I would drop Double Dragon for Spike Trap

I would also drop Fire Trap for Bed of Coals

Dropped Double Dragon for Spike trap - 3 tries; 3 quick deaths... It should work better than it does.

Haven't gotten as far as Dust Trap yet; don't know how that'll work...

I don't know how the Bed of Coals will work with the cast time and needing the timing right for the DD/Inferno combo. I'll have to try it. Fireball may be a better option as the criters are running away...hmmm....

Part of the build is based on "The best Defense is a good Offense" theory...

I've also found that while the Wardens run away, I can get 2 traps re-set and one of the PBAoE to recharge before they come back... starting the EoE chain. The Warden casters stand still and can sometimes be handled with agressive trapping and staffing OR break aggro and path trap.
